Velocity - Dean Koontz
This was one of those grocery store novels I’d meant to read years ago but somehow never managed to. I finally read it, and it was a very quick, gruesome read. It’s definitely interesting, but I normally do most of my reading while eating, and if that’s the way you do things I’d warn you about this novel. It’s a murder-mystery-thriller about a sadistic killer on the loose, and it puts the narrator (a regular Joe bartender) in some terrible situations, asking him to make impossible choices - saving some while killing others. It’s a book that will make you think, but it could also give you nightmares.
